High school council retreat_review+Amit

Hi everyone so as I promised, I shall write a new post. This post will be about the student council retreat that took place on the 19th :P

At first when I heard Ms. H suggesting a retreat, I was thinking 'it's going to be really bad...ugh can't wait'
And I was right until I saw Jenny and Amit playing the piano at the auditorium!
It was really cool because I went downstairs in the  Davey's building and suddenly heard this beautiful piano sound! So I followed the music down the hall and found Jenny and Amit playing the piano.

I of course, said hi and we all greeting each other. After, I heard Jenny play. She played for less than a minute because, or probably, she was shy... but I know that she plays really well because she is a korean. Then I heard Amit play. He also played really well. I knew he would play well because he has the 'hand' Amit has a pretty hand..long and not so fat, not so skinny, just the right size and length hand. hahaha this sounds a bit weird.. me talking about hands. Anyway, while we were having fun, Ms. H came to the stage with fierce face and an angry voice. She then shouted, 'I can't believe that I am telling the student council about where they are allowed to be and not. I just can't believe it!' she then continued her speech on and on how disappointed she was. Ugh. I really from the bottom of my heart, wanted to scream 'No wonder you don't have a boyfriend!' after she said the loooong comment. But duh, I didn't. If I did, I bet she had nothing to say back! HA lol

After being scolded, we went upstaires to the common room, and found all the members arrived.
Until Ms Long came, we all just spent our time doing our 'own' thing for like 30 minutes. I played on Google's ipad and others were online and stuff. It was really really awkward... like the whole 30 minutes felt all weird and slimy and you know, un-comfortable. I think it was because we were all really bored and we had no idea what to do... and ugh on top of that, Ms. H kept on shouting how our 'sprits' were so low.
I mean. UGH OMG MS.H. YOU DON'T JUST EXPECT US, STUDENTS, TO HAVE FUN ON A SATURDAY NIGHT AT SCHOOL.
From that moment, I 100% confirmed myself why Ms. H can't have a boyfriend.

After Ms.L came, out spirits rose to the roof top.
we were very excited that she came!!
because she is one of the nicest teachers in school and never loses her temper like Ms. H.
We played her favourite game Mafia :)
oh hahhahahhaha
we played a total of 4 rounds.
1 round, I was the murderer and I beautifully, decided with Noa to kill Ms.H first. HAHAHAHAHH
2 round, I was the detective and I amazingly failed to kinda play my part... opps. sorry!
3 round, I was the detective again. This time, when everyone was asking who the detective was, I stayed quite and enjoyed everyone being confused who the detective was.
and when that happened, Min got so annoyed and angry...

After that, we ate food and junk and fats :D
we played this another new game that Ms.L tought us.
Basically, you are in pairs and when someone winks at another person, that person has to come to the person who winked at her while the other pair of the person tries to not make that person move to the other person.

okay,
that's confusing.
A and B is in pairs and C and D is in pairs.
A winks at C
D tries to make C not go to A

I hope that makes the game clear...
This game sounds a bit tedious but is very violent and entertaining.

When I was paired with Michael and Michael tried to get away from me in order to go to the person who winked at him, I tried to grab his hair but ended up grabbing his shirt. He then took off his shirt to get away from me. So basically, he was bear chested. And Min, who was looking at Google's chest with big eyes, quoted 'Michael, you are built!'
lollllllllllllllllllllllllll everyone laughed but I didn't, because he didn't look built to me.
hahhahahhah
jokes. jokes. Michael, don't kill me.
oh oh oh oh oh  omg and another reason why Ms. H can't/doesn't have a boyfriend
she is very powerful (powerful as in strong)
I think it was Amit who was paired with Ms.H
When Amit tried to get away, Ms.H really. seriously strangled him with her legs.
I want to add an adjective about her legs.. but I won't.
And despite Amit, who used all his strength to get out from the legs that were strangling him, Ms.H won and Amit couldn't get out.
I am sorry Amit! I am actually really thankful that I wasn't paired with her.

Then we played this game how we each wrote 2 facts and 1 lie.
Mine was
1. my sister was born in Australia
2. I am allergic to melons, kiwis and apples
3. I never ate at KFC
after reading it out loud, I realized that all of them were facts.. :P
oh silly me!

Then we all wrote what we want to be in the future.
Ms long wrote how she wants to be an assistant of Oprah, how Michael wants to be the next google tyrant, how Jenny wants to be a musician (I was a bit surprised when I heard that), how Min wants to live in a suite hotel and eat expensive foods, how I want to be a mean teacher and how Amit or Tal (I can't remember who exactly was) wants to be a Buttish opps. Buddhist! monk. Ms.H wanted to be a physicoalienaesfesfsf -ist.
It's something to do with helping children with Cancer.

Overall, the retreat was fab.
When I was in Korea, I was the class rep too.
We also went to a retreat for 2days but wasn't fun as this one.
I hope I get re-elected for next year and go again! :DD

From this experience, we sure did get close with each 15members and enjoyed a wonderful time.

btw, this post is dedicated to my new bestfriend Amit.M ♥

WBAIS teacher's Q1 grade

I made a report card for my teachers. This is me grading them. heheheh :)

Jimmy sickle B+ (86)
Jimmy is a very bright student. He is very enthusiastic about history and is eager to learn more about the medieval times. But he needs to put more effort into talking less and speaking in normal volume voice. It would be good if he did his homework in time. In time, meaning after 2 or 4 days after the test or quiz or any other other projects. Last of all, Jimmy has very high potential in history and keep up the good work!

Jane Wescott  A+ (99)
Jane is a pleasure to have in class. She always does her homework and is very organized. She also explains very clearly when explaining math problems to her peers. She also is a great helper because her skills with the smart board is terrific! Keep up the good work Jane!

Sadafa Sadovnick A+ (98)
Nothing  makes a teacher delight when a student applies her studies in chemistry into real life problems. And not surprisingly, I have seen Sadafa using chemistry in her real life. She is well known to her peers for explaining clearly and easily of chemistry questions. She always helps her friends by answering their questions. However, Sadafa just needs to stop judging people by their grades. But I am not very worried about Sadafa. I hope to have her in AP physics!

Lambry Levy A+ (95)
It's always good to have such an energetic student in class. Lambry is very active in all types of activities at school and loves sports. Her perfect teeth and smile brings lots of males to her feet. Lambry needs to improve on feeling sympathy. But other than that, good job Lambry!
pro: if a female.

Isabelle Whalen A+ (95)
Madmoiselle Whalen is wonderful to have in class. Not only does she do her homework, but makes sure that she has the right homework written down on her planner. I have never seen a student with such wonderful french pronouncer. I hope to know more about Isabelle
Pro: uploads homework on moodle accurately and never late.

I should be studying instead of writing a blog post

I have a test tomorrow.. Chemistry and History.
I am feeling fine about Chemistry. (Gershon! I figured out and understood about the math stuff! :D)
I also feel 'okay' with History.. but the essay part for the history is on my nerve.
I hate.. the essay part in History..
Once, I got 2 questions wrong in the first part. But I wrote my essay 'confusingly' so I got an 85.
Which is totally depressing and sad and you know, Bad.

To be honest, you don't really have to study much for the test. But I am not a very good student. I am procrastinating. Like I never done that before.

I know, procrastinating is bad for you.
But I like it so much.
He's my best-friend after Facebook. I love her too.
I have no friends.
I have only 4 friends.
1. Facebook
2. Procrastinating
3. Paint on windows
4. My imaginary friend Demguguguhaejeiui. (I know it's a long name but it's really fun to pronounce)

anyways,
ugh I am the unlike student in school who has two big major tests tomorrow.
I think Kevin, Alex, Amit, Paige and I am the unluckly ones who have it all tmr.
oh well.
I know luck never comes to me.. so I am used to these types of situations.
It's like you wait in a line and the person infront of you just bought the last ticket to Twilight.

oh oh oh
Twilight's premier is this saturday I think.
I want to watch. But I have no one to watch with. All my friends hate Twilight
And I am going to the student council night out saturday anyway :P
oh well. but at least I don't have to worry over the weekends about my history test and my chemistry test! :D

maybe having two test tomorrow is a good thing after all!

So as you know, I have this person I have been hating for the past 2 years.
He is so annoying that I blocked him on facebook and skype.
I also never talk to him.
But today, he touched my last nerve and I am furious right now.
I don't understand. I don't understand when people talk about you when they don't even know well and what really happened.
I also hate him because he is so american
like 100% American.
you know, so full of himself like he is god, acting like he 'got it all'
and peeking into other people's fussiness. I mean business
ugh

those people should be excommunicated.
I am talking about you N.R

I don't care because he doesn't read my blog although he follows it
and I believe you guys who reads this will keep it as a secret...

bye bye!
I am off to study my essay part in History!
YAY
YAY
HIP HIP HURRAY
*it's is not sarcastic.

House rules by Jodi picoult

Facts about this book

-This book was 530pages long.
-One could say that it's a brotherhood love story
-One could say that Judi P is god in writing novels
-One could say that they cried when they read the very last chapter
-One could read this book over and over again
-One could could get goos-bumps while reading the very last chapter
-One could decide to never be a jury or judge or a lawyer after reading this book

in one word, this is probably the best novel ever written in 2010
I started to read this book in July.. and finished in November.
Well technically, I didn't read the book in August and September.. so it took me 2 months to read. OMG guys, I swear you won't regret after reading this book. It's so powerful and just totally dazzling.

Although the beginning of the book could be a bit painful to read, because nothing really 'happens'but once you get to the part where Oliver appears and starts to talk about trials and the court system, you will realize it's intense as reading Harry potter.

I personally knew that Jacob didn't kill and his brother was somehow related to the murder. But I never thought that the ending would be so like..twisted!

This book made me to understand and learn more about Asperger's

Guys, just read this book during the winter vacation. Because I swear, this will just make you 'dazzle' and realize that J.K.Rowling isn't the only god writer..

also, I had hard time finishing my homework because I couldn't keep my eye off the book. My mum gave me devil looks when she found me reading books.. :P

came back to the old layout

For two days, I had a colourful and sparkly blog layout. But it was too flashy and hard to read.
So here I am, with my old watermark layout.
Yesterday, two dreams of mine came true.
1. I went to Dizzengoff!!!

I KNOWWWWW
*Interesting fact*
Yejun has lived in Israel for 2 years and it was her first time going there.
view from 4 story up

the Diiiizengoff Towerrrr!

I can't believe I actually went there. omg

night view

in the taxi
The mall was so huge that I didn't get a chance to look all around!
it was like 3 stories and there were dozens of shops
we went to mango, castro, topshop, ect
and lots of events happened.
But the most horrifying? was...
spilling my juice on a rack of clothes..
and it was a coconut juice... so there were white ice on black clothes!
I was so horrified that I flew out the shop running away far as I could in a blink of an eye.

the second wish that came true.. is that

MY LAPTOP ARRRRRRRIVEDD!!!
WOOT WOOT WOOT
I havnt took a photo yet. So I will show you guys at school.
it's a sexy laptop. and is 14.5inch, LG annnddd the screen is ultra THIN!!!

parents conference is on um. FRIDAY. THIS WEEK.

yes. the dreadful day has come.
it's the day when the teachers meet with your parents who gave birth to you.
it's the day when the teachers gets to tell EVERYTHING about your school life.
it's the day when I fear the most because I currently have a 89 in Algebra.
OMGGGGGG
I HAVE AN 89 WHAT AM I GOING TO DO
it's the mayday,.
it's when your parents get to know if you are

the winner or the loser type.

alkdsjfasdlfkja;lsdjf;lasdjf;lakjfakjd

I am SOOOO SCARED.

Unfortunately, my father is coming from Business trip in Korea this thursday. Which is a DAY before the CONFERENCE.
omg seriously, why couldn't have he spent his weekend in Korea?

The only thing in my mind right now is the conference.
I am freaking out

I really am although..

no teacher told me

or

or

I am very scared because of my current grades...
I don't know why but I don't have the Korean gene.
which is just so depressing.

I do well. I have no grade below 80
but still.
I am more of a b+ student.. not really an A...

anyway, with that said, I will tell you what happened last year..

English
Ms. Long: Hi! nice to meet you! Yejun is doing great in her class. She is very creative and artistic!
My dad: *hmph* (is that how you write it?!)
Ms. Long: (Suddenly feeling something is wrong with telling a child is very creative) Yejun currently has a B in the class
My dad and mom: a B? (they actually shouted)
Ms. Long: Yes an 89 (confused because 89 is not that bad)
My mom: (talking to me in Korean) Yejun you have a B in English? *she said B in English so ms. Long goes
Ms. Long: oh wait! I forgot to add her project. So now, Yejun has a 90!
My dad and mom: OH good! (smiles for the first time)

and then my dad goes "okay, thanks" and leaves.

lol
I know!!
I swear.. I am so scared that that thing will happen AGAIN.
>_<

it's like DE JA VU
____________________________________________________________________

Now, remember the history ppt I had to do today?
well guess what.
my group is doing it next class because our class ran out of time.
uuhghghghgh

I HATEEEEEEEEEEEE when this happens because then it means he has a higher? standard (bcos we had an extra day) and it means we need to worry it for another day!

aaaaaaaaaarhhhhhhhhh!!
and in our class, we had 6 groups and 4 of them went today.
So we are in the unlucky 2 groups.. who are going to do it next class

and if you calculate that possibility, it's 4/6? is that how you calculate ...?
nvm.. I suck at math.
go away. Algebra. No one really likes you. They might seem as they do, but the truth is that in their heart, they don't like you.
I am sorry. But I really think you should stick with Geometry and not brake up with her becaues she is the only one you have.

bye!

quotes from hate list by jenny brown

the book was an okay book. I read it because it was a book club book.
  • They say that near-death experiences change peope. That they suddenly discover what tolerance and love are really about. That they have no more use for pettiness and hate.
  • For once, the future seemed heavier than the past.
  • What could he say about a future of those parents who couldnt let go of the past, who could do nothing but watch  their hopes for their children's futures fade away, their childrn\e gone for more than a year no wand never coming back?
  • We all got to be winners sometimes. But Nick had been right: We all got to be winners sometimes. But what he didn't understand was that we all had to be losers, too. Because you can't have one without the other.
The funny thing about book club books, are that we never.. like never got to read about a 'normal' person. I mean once, we had the mental child. And this book is about this Valerie being obessed with her boyfriend and living a life where all her peers, including her parents, doesn't trust her anymore and doesn't believe in her. I think the book was quite said.
It's not really her falut that her bf got into a shooting scene.
However, at the very end of the book, she realizes how she wasn't the only one being on newspapers. It turns out all her friends were deeply effected by the accident.
I think this book tells very well about how it feels to be just left alone. No one caring for her.
It also tells that you are not the only victim of an accident.

I would give a 9 out of 10.
the book was very focused on the idea and the theme.
But I didn't like it. It's not my type
I like SF and thrillers!!!

I am started to read the house rules now...
I started that book in July and kinda never got to finish it.
I am exactly half way in that book.
I WILL RETURN THE BOOK BY NOVEMBER 28TH. yasmin hahahha :)

Navian result.

Understanding you, YeJun
People like you are outgoing, responsible, and quite strong willed. You like to be around other people and are talkative, friendly, and confident. You prefer to be in charge of any situation, and are usually good at organizing events and groups of people. Since you are so concerned about fairness, and have very clear opinions about what's right and wrong, you tend to become annoyed when people make exceptions to the rules or simply ignore them altogether. Outspoken, honest, and direct, you may sometimes interrupt or bluntly step on peoples' toes without even realizing it. You are naturally quite organized and productive, make quick decisions, and like to finish one project on time and neatly before starting another.
You are also a realistic and down to earth person. You prefer activities that are hands-on and have some practical use. While you probably have a great memory for facts and details, you become bored or frustrated with too much theory or with long discussions about things that may never happen. You prefer to stay busy and physically active and may be skeptical about trying new things or changing your routine. Your many friends admire your strong work ethic and know you to be a person of your word. But in your desire to have most things settled and decided, you may sometimes act a bit controlling or inflexible. You like to know what others expect of you, and you strive to fulfill all of your commitments precisely and completely.
