summer vacation...*SAD*

Hi! omg, I didn't know I didn't write any posts lately.
Here are few things!!!

1. Summer vacation in Korea started last Friday,  19th!
In Korea, Summer vacation isn't the longest vacation. Winter is. But since we don't go to school any more on Saturday, it's only 3weeks. This is pretty ridiculous. Isn't it??? and winter is only 4 weeks. gah.
It used to be more than one month before I left to Israel.
Buttt, I have to go to school everyday during my 'vacation' for 90 minutes for my math lessons... I've got to review 2nd semester math. I was expecting this kinda thing... and, it's impossible to relax in Korea during the vacation. Vacation is just another excuse for studying harder because you don't go to school.

Gah, I have to go to school tomorrow. I have to take the subway.. again, and walk all those leg killing stairs and fight my way through the crowds... I swear, it's so exhausting when you arrive at school. It's a war down there. It's hot, there's a lot of ppl, it's unpleasantly hard to move around and stuff.

2. I went to Lotte World with one of my oldest Fwend
Lotte World is an amusement park owned by one of the daughters of Samsung CEO. There's the indoor and outdoor park island thingy and the temperature was 30c. It was an temperature I could stand but not for my Korean friend. She was dying. We went there early at 10am and came back at 5. (Super early)
It's wasn't fun any more. It made me sad how amusement parks arn't 'amusing' to me now.
That means... I AM OLD. *sigh*

and and and omg,
Eminem and Maroon5 are coming to Seould in November!!!
and and and and and Yoyoma, the famous Japanese cellist is coming to Seoul too in December or somthing.
I am not exactly fond of Japanese ppl but, he is THE god of cello.
I really want to go to this concert.

My school!

Hi, I go to this huge school in Korea were there are 600 female students in grade 10.
In Korea, high school is from grade 10 to 12.. 9th grade is in Middle school.
So this is my first time going to a girls-only high school.
It feels weird.. and really relaxing at the same time.

We have 13 10th grade classes.
Each with 43 students!!!
IT'S HUGE.
It has its own pros and cons.
Pro: unlike AIS, you don't have to face the same ppl.
Con: Too many names to remember.

So far, school life is great because as I told you before, or not, all my friends before I left to Israel, are HERE!

Tuesday was my first day of school and visiting all my old friends was pretty awesome.
The most common reactions were
*Gasp* Gasp* "OMG*
or
"But airn't you leaving again?"

Since I do move around every three years, it's hard to have old friends..
hahahah omg this reminds me of Helen. hahah
we were like "WE HAVE TO BE IN TOUCH"
but like we havn't..
it's hard to keep in touch because it's too overwhelming and 'different' for each other to understand our situations and stuff.
Oh, if you are reading this, : HEY HELEN, I MISS YOU. I am very bad keeping in touch.. :P
so just continue reading my blog :P

Anyways,
um each class is doing a singing competition in 4 weeks from now. Our class is singing "dancing queen"
it reminded me of our mamamia play!
Since I sing terribly and have no intention to become a singer, I try...but can't help myself being horrible.
Another class is singing "you raise me up"
I cracked up when she told me because I mean, that is a hard song to sing. It goes to a high pitch and is sloww.....

oh right, good things about being at a girl-only high school,
1) you don't have to worry if u are in the wrong bathroom because there are only GIRLS BATHROOM
WOOT WHOOT :D

2) Don't have to worry how you look like because there are no males or young male teachers... we have like male teachers in their 40s at least.
WOOT WOOT

3) You forget what 'emotional love feeling' is.
hhahhahahhahaha
this is kinda sad now. :I

so yeah, this is my life so far and has been nothing but hectic :)
Summer vacation starts next friday.
But since Winter vacation is the longest vacation, summer is only 3 weeks long  D;
**school in Korea starts in March and ends in Jan...

Dunkin Donuts!

Oh Koreans, can't you make normal hangers...

weird looking building..@Heather!!

there used to be more.. got all sold out

a normal day of school after the finals are done :)

Well, bye bye!
I need to wake up at 6:50 to catch the subway and go to schoooool!

Meeting fwends

YAY! today is a historical day as I FINALLY met my old long friends.
We went to cafes and ate lunch and walked around the park.
They told me that I speak like a foreigner.... BUT I AM A KOREAN!?
they also told me that I don't look 'Korean'
Well, I will become one soon ;)
I couldn't meet them before because they took finals last week.

On Monday, I am finally going to their school for an interview!!!
I could get accepted!! (if I do well in the interview...)
So I guess then Friends won over grades :P
can't wait to meet more on mondayyyy

what I've been doing

hi peeps, although I am sure no one really reads my blog anyway, it's been two weeks since I left Israel!
I hope my dad is doing fine there and is taking good care of our belongings, and is eating healthy.
The weather in Korea is okay. It has been a typical spring here. Winds and sun coming and going. But now the raining season has started! There was a lightening just yesterday and the sky is full of grey clouds. It feels soggy cos of the humidity and the clouds. It's been a while since I even saw the clear sky. Actually, the day I came to Korea, I missed Israel's clean blue sky with whitest clouds in the world.

The past two weeks-ish, I've been staying at my uncle's house because we didn't exactly have a house to stay. Today, we came to this replacement house. It's super tiny. But no worries, I only have to survive a month and ten days. Our house we are supposed to go in is having a renovation. They are literally taking out the floors and walls and are replacing with new ones!! :D (yay, except for the fact that I don't like to stay in this migit house!!)

Things in Korea aren't exactly the ideal moment right now. I live in Gangnam, where there are 5 highschools I  can attend. three are girls-only and two are co-ed. One of the co-ed is not very well known for academics but for pregnant rates lol. But that's the only school I know I can attend. The other four, they simply don't have space for another student. So I am praying that someone in those school decides or has to leave the school. It's also super unfortunate too because all my elementary and middle school friends went all to one girls only high school. So I am secretly praying I could go there cos all of my friends. But on the other hand, I need guys who doesn't care about there grades so I could rank overall higher at final exams when I receive my report card. Just incase you peo didn't know, there are two main exams in one semester in Korea. Middle exam and the final exams. We take like 10 subject tests and when you get a grade, this program thingy ranks you how high you are in your whole grade. So when I was in middle school in Korea, there were like 400 7th graders. I was ranked overall 105 and had different ones for separate subjects.
This rank can determine which universities you can attend, so it's super significant. : /

So this is my dilemma:

Option 1: Go to girls only highschool where all my friends are, and enjoy school life. But because girls are super competitive, I will get a lower grade.

Option 2: Go to co-ed high school and don't fall into traps and be healthy. You won't have any one you knew before. But I will receive higher rankings than going to only girls school.

so I guess it's this: Friends or Grades?
