October!! omg.. ALREADY?

Hi..
I am pretty sure I am saying hi to myself now because probably nobody will be reading my blog anymore.. lol but whatever.

I can't believe it's already OCTOBER.
After November and December, I will become a senior..
(this is because Korean academic year is totally the reverse? of America. We start in March and finish in January)

I took my finals-mid finals to be exact- last week. I only take six subjects
math
korean
english
french
chemistry
law

lol "law"
it's really about the korean government and the korean law. It's actually my favorite subject.
My least favorite is chemistry without doubt.

I just dont have the passion for small atoms and equations and all those..math
I guess class with Mrs Sadovnik was pretty interesting..but with the teachers I have now,
ugh.. no thankyou.
I have four chemistry classes!!!!
which means FOUR DIFFERENT TEACHERS
and this is insane because I am liberal arts. Not natural science!!!
(Here, I mean Korea, when we get to grade 11, we divide classes depending whether you are a liberal or natural science.)

In Korea, high school starts with grade 10. So elementry is like
123456 grade
middle school is
7,8 9 grade
and high school is
10 11 12 grade

And I am in my 11th grade..
it's funny to be in the 11th.. I mean you get to have 10th graders to kida boss around sometimes, but have to  be careful around seniors not to get caught in the act lol

so there are four chemistry teachers and they all have their distinct personalities
1. The WRITE-EVERYTHING-I-WRITE type
OMG. FU**THIS TEACHER.
SHE LITERALLY MAKES US WRITE EVERY BLOODY WORD SHE WRITES ON THE BOARD.
I NEED TO UPLOAD A PHOTO TO DESCRIBE THIS... THIS...I cant even think up a word to describe her

2. I STUDIED-FROM-ENGLAND type
This teacher, no joking, looks like

okay, maybe her eyes(my teacher's) are not that far apart. but
she has an extremely long neck and her movements are pretty sloppy (just like Sid)
Whenever she feels like she wants to be venerated or feels like nobody is paying attention to her, she always brings up her stories how she went to England to study biology at Cambridge..
I admit she is extremely intelligent and all.. but when she starts teaching, SORRY MRS ,BUT JUST DOESNT SEEM LIKE IT. all she does is LOOK AT MY PPT. WHICH REMINDS ME....

3. LOOK-AT-MY-PPT type
Okay. these type teachers are the worse because all they do is point to their screen with a stick and talk to the screen.
I dont think these types of teachers have in mind that there actually are students sitting in the room. She talks as if she is having a duel conversation with the screen.

4.  I-DON'T-KNOW-WHAT-I-AM-TEACHING-SORRY-GURLS
The last chemistry teacher.. she is around I think 52 and starting to show symptoms of dementia.or just simple obliviousness
She keeps on repeating the same class materials and I honestly dont learn anything from her since I dont understand a single word she says...
but i am sure that's it's only me who is struggling with her class.... D:

May 12th

Hi.
I am feeling great today because I finished my TOEFL test yesterday!
Although if I get below 117, I have to retake it. But just until I receive my score, I am not even going to touch a TOEFL book.
And, yeah. I cut my hair. I didn't have a reason why I cut like 15cm... I guess it was pretty spontaneous (no surprise since I love spontaneous stuff!!)

I also finished my mid-finals last week.. So I am pretty loose, meaning I am spending everyday meaninglessly... :( dang!

2/26 (2)

Hehehehe
my silly letter.

It's spring vacation already in Korea until March 4th.
It has been something like 3 weeks into spring break and I managed to actually achieve few goals!
1. Read more than 10 books
2. Take the practice test and get over 100
3. Don't oversleep
4. Don't get depressed. Everyone's Junior year is tough.

ughh
I guess people in AIS are in 11th grade and will finish in May.
Butt, I am enrolling to 11th grade this March 4th lol.
I am actually terrified of 11th grade.
I mean, now, I will actually have to focus on my grades! (When I arrived last year July, I pretty much received Cs in my finals by the excuse that 'I am starting to get the hang of the Korean education system')

I hate it.
I mean, unlike AIS, Koreans have RANKS. I have to care about my letter grades and my position in the whole 11th grade students!

But before grades, I've got to get 118 in TOEFL by May.
Ofcourse, I don't need to if I don't want to go to college -.-

Studying TOEFL made me feel SAT is much more intriguing.
Only if I could get that damn 118..

2/26

Dear TOEFL,

Hi TOEFL, how are you doing?
Are you having fun crushing hopeful student's dreams and ambitions? I hope you are.
To be honest, I thought you were a piece of cake. And I still kinda think you are, but my test results tell me that you are tougher than you look!
I mean, I lived abroad for more than 6 years and speak English with natives with no problem, but what the hell,103 out of 120?
I mean, I read in a newspaper that even native Americans get 105!
You've got to loose up.

You know, I am going to see you in three weeks, on March 16th.
I actually am excited to meet you and see how much you will devastate me this time because this time, I am ready. I have my shields and spears to protect myself and slash your head.

On March 16th, you will be surprised with my improved speaking skills.
On March 16th, you will yield to me. (jokes, 15 days after the test)

So....goodbye and be prepared. Because this time, I will be prepared too.
with resent,  Yejun Lee

Diary of 25th

Hi so...
my blogging has become pretty lazy.
I can't believe I still have a week left till I go back to school.

Did i mention that I really like my Math teacher at this Academy I go everyday?!

This is so embarrassing.
But whatever, I am in the other side of the world in this small Gangnam district cramming in my room.

There's a problem though.
HE IS GOING BACK TO AMERICA TO STUDY MEDICINE.

RIDICULOUS.

I am so depressed.

Another topic?
um... I decided to quit SATs for two reasons.
And surprisingly, I felt this great 'pang' in my heart when I started to throw away 3 months worth of worksheets, tests and books..

Ugh, and ALL THE IDIOMS I HAD MEMORIZED.
not to mention the 1600 + alpha VOCABS.

Still, I think it did a little good on me because I have to take the TOEFL anyway and I think the SAT vocabs and stuff will reappear in TOEFL.

wow, I was looking for gifs and stumbled on this picture
it's OKAY YEJUN. YOU'VE GOT PLASTIC SURGERY.
AND this one is really random

hahahhahhahah
I love this.

Diary of 4th

Next Monday, as I told you people, I am going to this SAT academy. I am so freaked out because they are going to give me a level test to see where I belong out of four classes. And it's like very good to bad...........What if I get into the lowest class!?!?

I mean I haven't studied Math for SATs..
or writing. Wow.. ugh

I decided to quit French classes too. Because I was actually studying DELF A2.. but I don't think I have hope getting in.

I sooooooo wanted to do my nails during this winter break..
but I guess that's not happening.
oh oh also I recently got addicted to this game called Crazy Arcade.
This Korean game was a mega hit in 2003~2007. Although I am sure not many people are playing the game as they once did, I find it fun.

And I mean, it has been like 5years? since I last played it.

and the best thing about it is that it's not japanese!
IT'S PURE KOREAN BLOOD. :D
