Robotic club

I am feeling terribly sick.. :<
Probably because I worked 8 hours in a cold windy robotic room.. yesterday.. : /

Anyway, for the first time in AIS, we actually built something! WOOP
I built these wire related stuff and motors.. others programmed and built the robot too..

It was fun...but was really cold inside the building..
The only thing I really hated was this steel cutting machine.
It makes this.. horrid sound when it cuts steel.

I also took this writing test in history. I don't even know what I wrote. I wrote bunch of non-sensences..
It doesn't matter because it's for AP US history. I am so not interested in taking an AP course about history.
So what did was, in my second paragraph, I wrote everything in a funny way and in my conclusion, I wrote about how history repeats itself and we will again conquer new lands and have wwIII and stuff.
I don't care if it is not good because I am not going to that class anyway. And I don't have good grades enough to go to that class. I don't think a B is a good grade. I suck at history and have no interest in taking more than one history class next year.

I actually want to take the AP English. It sounds so much more interesting and funn-er
I want to take another AP class too.
Maybe science.

Extremely pissed

I am extremely pissed right now. I've never been so pissed this much in my life.
The reason? because of this feking American boy and the robotic club.

In Robotic club, we have usually 3 meetings per week.
Today we had a meeting. And we, Elise, Garrett, Carter and I had to wait at Mr Sickle's room for 2 hours doing nothing. At 5, Uri, our mentor arrived. I was so pissed.
He called me at 3:15pm that he will be 30 minutes late. He was wrong. he was 2 hours late.

I understand he can be late because he had to come probably from Telaviv, and was in a traffic jam and had to buy few items for us. But why didn't he tell us that he will be 2 hours late?

During the 2 hours, I really did nothing. It probably was the most boring hours I ever faced in my life. I met Yasmin so it was okay but really I was frustrated.

Then at 5:15, which was the time I had to go home, because I have a life, he started to threaten me to stay longer. I wanted to scream that I have been in the same room for 2 hours waiting for him. And was his fault that he didn't tell me that he would arrive 15 minutes before me leaving.
but Because he is an adult, I stayed 30 minutes longer and drew the sketch.

When Carter was about to leave, Uri again threatened him and made him call his mother. Carter ended up staying until 6pm. (poor him)

Okay, now what I really, extremely, so, very, un-speakably, don't understand.
If someone, who knows himself that he is not good with computers, is having trouble, it makes logical sense to seek help.
But if he thinks he knows everything and is stubborn about it, fek him.
I don't understand. Maybe it's because he has a mental problem.
Maybe because he really thinks he knows more about computers than I do.
I doubt it.

So okay. this was the problem.
His laptop charger broke (like everything he owns)
This guy has broken everything I know of.
Phone, laptop screen, broken his charger twice, and practically has nothing that functions perfectly.

But with the help of Uri, he fixed the charger and turned on the computer. (Turns out it has been 2 months since he last turned on the computer.)
He turns on and finds like 5 windows and softwares running.

So I said: You should close all windows and reboot your computer
He said: no closing all windows will do it. I am not going to reboot my computer
In my head: you fek. you stupid. I wonder how damaged your computer is.

Uri: hey, why are you doing nothing G?
G: I am waiting for Auto pad to run..and it's taking ages. it's because of my stupid computer. It's this american brand and it hates me. It's also a stupid computer. Nothing works.
Uri: Maybe it's time to buy a new computer
G: no... my mum will never buy me a new one
Me in my head: of you fek, if you deleted all your rubbish softwares and cleared all your memory and rebooted your computer, it would be good as new.

AH... but lets move to something more bright

Tomorrow is hockey marathon ononononononononononon
I am blue. I like my team. I am sure blue is going to win.. since red won last year lol

and! our school had the lowest spirit this week.
boo hoo to you who didn't dress up :(

My speech

Marriage is not necessary

"I, Yejun,
Take you, (Robert Patitson)
To be my (husband)
To have and to hold,
From this day forward,
For better, for worse,
For richer, for poorer,
In sickness and in health,
To love and to cherish,
'Till death do us part."

But only 51%, of Americans have said 'I do'. And with divorce rate of 49% today, marriages are unlikely to last. According to Pew research center, only 44% of adults aged from 25 to 34 years old are married. That's an extremely sharp decrease from 1960, when 82% of the same age group was married. Although marriage is not mandatory, parents often urge their daughters to get married because they want the best possible future for her. But the truth is, there is not a big difference in the happiness rate between the unmarried and married! So that's why I think people should avoid marriage at all costs.

We marry to prove that we love each other. But do we really need a piece of paper with 'marriage certificate' printed with cursive writing to prove love? That's why Catherine Crew 29 and Howy Diamond 32, who are from LA, have been living together for 3 years and 7 months but see no need to get married. Catherine quoted that they are “already happy” and see no need to take that extra step. Devara Cone, a researcher at the Pew research center, also mentioned that today, most people don't disapprove of you if you live alone or if you live with an unmarried partner, like they did in the past. Now, turns out on average, Americans now spend half their adult lives outside marriage - many living alone. In 2009, approximately 7 million couples live together but aren't legitimately married.

Unlike Disney movies, marriages don't always end up with “Happily ever after.” In fact, married women are more likely than single women to be depressed. There is no evidence why depression is more likely to happen to spouces. But maybe because spouces on average do 2.5 hrs of cleaning per day when men do 1.3 hours. Or because they do 88% of the laundry and iron 5,3000 pieces of clothing each year? And funnly enough, that may be the reason why 93% of divorces are initated by women.

Last, but not least, half of workers in America are female. Femals also run some of the world's best companies, such as PepsiCo, Archer Daniels Midland and W.L. Gore. And not conincidently, it's again the femals who earn 60% of university degrees in America and Europe! That's why we deserve a better qulity of life than to stay home and do house work for our husbands who hinders us from staying at Macy's for a long time! I know you may be thinking that just because a woman is married, they don't have to stay home all day. But when a child gets involved, spouces have no choice but to stay home and look after the kids becuase day care cost is expensive.

In conclusion, by 2026, 70% of American population will be living in a single-person households. That shows how more adults are making the right choice. But if you still believe that a diamond ring and the puffed up white dress will magically create happiness for you, always remember that only 3 things in life matter. money, shopping, and living fullest to your dream. Seriously, men are a luxury, not a necessity.

Written on 21st 6:10pm

Winter ball~! :D

So the student council had to come to the club by 6pm. But guess who actually came by then.

ME! lol

It was great because when I left my house, I didn't even bother to comb my hair. So no one saw my hair

mu hahahah

Another funny thing. I asked the club people (not the manager I think) what the pass code is for the internet. Their reply: “I don't know”

….

um. how can you not know the passcode of their own place! Even their internet is called “Maison” which is the name of the place. Lol

Anyway, I think student council people are going to arrive at this colorful lighting bar at 7 or something. It's okay I guess. Because I am not bored. I have a post to write :)

I am actually very anxious about this winterball.

Mostly because not many people bought tickets at school.

  1. Mr. Jackover sent a mail addressing all the high school students that the school bought a breath-alizer. The mail also kindly included that if anyone comes in the ball drunk, or with any percentage of alcohol in their breath, they are going to be servery punished. That scared the 10th graders and the 12th... Ah... I am going to have another cultural shock. What the funlkjasdlkfjal;dskfj;aldsfkj? Why do students drink? I don't understand. So that's why I am expecting like I don't know... 80 people? To come to this winter ball

  2. Students at our school doesnt like school dances because teachers come: They stare at students with their eagle eyes... It's really awkward if you think about it....If I was a teacher who had to come to a school dance to supervise, I would be really... feeling awkward.. and embarrassed.

  3. The price of the ticket is expensive. It's 80NIS. Last year, I always thought to myself that I will make the price of the ticket lower when I get elected. But I see why it's expensive... The renting fee is high! One of the reason why the student council make the price high, is to subsidize the prom cost.

  4. Hey, Min came at 6:46pm

  5. It's 7:30pm and Zoia, Tal, Amit and Ms. Harris arrived!

  6. I am all dressed.. and stuff and the DJ isn't here lol

  7. And the person is mopping the floor... ????

  8. and then here came Orel and someone I can't see because she has a huddie on.. it's um. Noor!!!!

So I am writing the post right now. At 6:30pm. No one has yet arrived. because it usually takes me about 30 minutes to get from Even Yehuda to Herzliya. But today, it took lik 20 minutes. Weird!

funny quotes

these are funny quotes I found when I was trying to find a quote for my speech lol
  • Don't let a man put anything over on you except an umbrella.
  • When women are depressed they either eat or go shopping. Men invade another country.
  • My mom said the only reason men are alive is for lawn care and vehicle maintenance.

  • The more I see of men, the more I admire dogs.

  • Why do men like intelligent women? Because opposites attract.

  • Don't marry for money. You can borrow it cheaper.

Why we should not get married or get babies?

I can't decide if I should do my speech topic about marriage or babies.
It's most likely I am going to write about babies.

People should not get babies because
1. They are expensive (Imagine what you can buy with that sum of money!)
2. Earth can live better without our offsprings (sorry. But we are now 7 billion)
3. Statistics show that we live more happily when we don't have babies to take care (IDK I made this one up)
4. I need one. HELP

I am in a little bit of shock...

I hate it when finals bring my grade down

I have tons of work to do!
1. History research paper
2. Chemistry project
3. English speech
4. Finishing the last 5 pages of The Ender's Game
5. Algebra homework

And as if this is not enough, I have to spend from 12 till 3 at Robotic...club
Ah.. I am excited about this competition but I haven't even seen the damn parts to build the robot.

I need an ice cream.
I can't go through this alone. lol
I am going now outside to eat ice cream in this stormy weather because I am in love with it.

Oh, also
Winter ball is next week.
But I am so not in the mood to dance
I am planning to just pay half the price of the ticket with Zoia and then leave after an hour to a near ice cream shop.
I need ice creams.
I have to have it.
After one hour taking photos, I am going to be eating ice creams!
YAY
(omg there are so many Asians online)

I really am the person who eats ice cream when ever nothing is going in my way
And I tell you, ice cream is the best medicine.
Nothing in the world is better than them.

xoxo I love you, ice cream!

First day of school after winter vacation~

Funny enough, I feel like it has been a week since school started.
I am so excited!!
Do you know why?
it's because of the speech contest!

Last year, I didn't know what I was doing. I did horribly.
But this year, I am going to nail it down hard
I want to speak in front of the whole high school and talk :D

I am very looking forward it.
But I don't know yet what topic to choose.
Last year, I did about body image and brush ups. It was the worst topic.
Why? because I wasn't even interested in that topic..

So. yeah. I need a great topic and win this thing :D
______________________________________
I had computer application and French and Free block and Algebra today.

I saw my chemistry, French, Algebra grades.
I screamed for joy when I saw my chemistry grades..
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also screamed when I saw my algebra.
I AM SO HAPPY YOU DON"T KNOW HOW MUCH HAPPY I AM
